Honeycomb wall paint

Hello Reader!!

This time, I tried to come back early. Well not that early, but still. Hehehe 😜

Okay, so this is something new and huge. Some of you might know, that I am an artist. And being an artist, plain whites always attract me. I just want to color them, and my mind won't stop thinking about ideas, until that is done. So, when we recently moved into a new house, it was christmas for the artist inside me. Everywhere plain white walls, waiting for me to cover them up with beautiful colors. I started thinking about ideas to use maximum colors, but it was a challenge for me to paint on such a huge wall, as it would have required patience, which I have equal to none. So, came this idea, of making the honey comb pattern, that would be quick, easy and I could use as many different types of colors as I wanted.

You would just need paper tapes, brushes, a small cardboard piece, pencil, scissor and colors. I used acrylic colors as they give good texture, are bright and look funky, but you can use oil colors as well. Once you have gathered the equipments, just follow the steps below:

Step 1: Cut the cardboard into the shape of a hexagon.

Step 2: On the wall, trace the hexagons from the cardboard with a light pencil. Be sure that the pencil is not very dark, as it will leave marks and would be visible from beneath the paint.

While tracing, make sure to leave the space, equals to the width of the tape, between two hexagons.

Step 3: Once, the whole wall is traced, start sticking the tape in the space between the hexagons.

Step 4: Go crazy!!!! Just fill in colors in those pretty little boxes. If you want, you can thin the color.

Step 5: Allow the paint to dry. And then, take out the tapes carefully.

Voila!!! You have your wall ready. Isn't it beautiful????

I choose hexagons, but you can choose any shape you like. Now go on, and spoil the wall.

Have fun! See you next time!
